You'll contribute to ending world hunger by ...

Purpose: To support content collection and the creation of engaging new content for use across our communications, events, donor relations and marketing channels 

Engagement: The Officer will report directly to the Content Lead.  They will work closely with a variety of team members, particularly within the Communications team, the Direct Marketing team for advertising, the Social Media Officer, Network colleagues, and external freelancers.

Delivery: Create and oversee the production of all multimedia assets to be used across Communications channels.   


Key activities in your role will include

Content Creation 

  • Support members of the External Relations team with digital content needs. This could include, but is not limited to, visual storytelling for communications, events, marketing, donor relations, social media, and website projects.   

  • Produce and coordinate the entire production cycle of multimedia content, including conceptualizing, scheduling, directing, shooting, and editing ensuring continuity across content.   

  •  Photograph headshots, environmental portraits, reportage, and events; capture audio and video of interviews and b-roll in countries where Action Against Hunger works.     

  • Support the Media Relations team by capturing video content (b-roll) at events, which can be shared in a timely manner with media.      

  • Work with freelance talent from scopes of work, contracts to execution of project.   

Editing and Post-Production 

  • Edit and refine multimedia content from the field and network to ensure visual coherence, narrative flow, and alignment with Action Against Hunger’s branding and messaging. This includes video editing, audio mixing, graphic design, and animation.   

  • Update style guides for Action Against Hunger’s photography, videography and title treatments to maintain the highest standards across channels creating a cohesive unifying style.  

  • Help manage and maintain network’s DAM (Data Asset Management) system for past and future content archiving and access. Upload photos, b-roll packages, consent forms and video in the DAM in a timely manner to neatly share across the network. Maintain library of published video.   

Collaboration 

  • Act as point of content for multimedia independent contractors.         

  • Expand roster of global freelancers for photo, video, and writing, while vetting images from the network.        

  • Research ideas, trends, technology and new ways of creating viral, organic, and targeted content.  

  • Demonstrate comfort in leading conversations, both at a creative and tactical level and with agencies, leadership, internal stakeholders, network partners and program participants.

Do you meet the profile required criteria?

Required Qualifications 

Outstanding portfolio of photography and video work.    

 Required Skills & Experience  

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, including photo, video and editing  

  • Strong experience with production project management   

  • Experience working with freelancers and contract creatives  

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Premiere, After Effects, Microsoft Office, Project Management Platforms   

  • Interest in Action Against Hunger’s mission and/or programmatic areas  

  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 6 weeks per year  

  •  Language skills in addition to English proficiency is a plus

Gross annual starting salary : $65,000-$70,000
