The Donor Marketing Associate will sit on the Donor Marketing team within the External Relations department. The role will support new and existing direct mail marketing, telemarketing, employee and matching giving initiatives to raise funds, engage and steward constituents who donate up to $10,000. The position will be closely involved with a broad spectrum of Action Against Hunger’s work in mass fundraising.
Purpose: Support new and existing fundraising and marketing initiatives to raise funds, drive acquisition, engage and steward constituents for activities across the Donor Marketing team.
Engagement: The Donor Marketing Associate reports to and works closely with the Donor Retention Lead. This role also supports the Direct Response Officer, Donor Development Officer, and the Donor Marketing Team’s efforts in general. The Associate collaborates with the wider External Relations team to reach fundraising goals.
Delivery: Effectively provides fundraising support, working across a breadth of fundraising activities.
Essential Job Duties
Support direct mail, voicemail, telemarketing programs, employee and employer matches
- Assist with executing campaign strategy.
- Support project management of workflow – from idea to deployment.
- Track progress and update status of direct mail production and project schedules for the team.
- Maintain direct mail, voicemail and telemarketing calendar and update External Relations calendar.
- Proofread all documents to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with providing feedback on copy.
Administration
- Assist in building segments for direct mail, telemarketing and voicemail targets
- Support employee giving and matching gift solicitations and stewardship
- Assist in building presentations and updating offline metrics reports
- Coordinate the production of reports and analysis with the Fundraising Systems teams
- Schedule internal and external meetings
- Support team meetings by coordinating agendas, note taking, and recording actions
- File contracts, process vendor purchase orders and invoices
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with interruptions.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment
- The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required by contact with the missions, mission security, or other obligations.
- Must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business travel as well as to the missions if appropriate. While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
